I am a registered nurse with 25 years of clinical experience in many areas of nursing, including: medical/surgical, postpartum, camp nursing, surgery, ER, home health care, rehabilitation, and post anesthesia care. A 14 year hiatus was taken in the middle of my nursing career to home school my children. During that time, the study and practice of alternative and natural healing became a passion of mine, which continues to this day. Upon returning to nursing, I found that there had been a gradual change in healthcare, with registered nurses often spending the majority of time documenting on a computer and much of the hands-on patient care delegated to nursing assistants and technicians. With a desire to get back to more hands-on care and combine my clinical skills and knowledge in natural healing, I decided to start my own business to offer health and wellness coaching for people of all ages. In February 2014, I attended Foot and Nail Care Education for Nurses at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and received specialized training in performing lower leg and foot assessment and routine foot and nail care on diabetic and high risk feet. In May 2015, I received advanced training with podiatrist Dr. Julia Overstreet. It is very rewarding to help the elderly and others maintain healthy feet and empower people with knowledge so that they can lead healthier, more vital lives through nutritional and lifestyle modifications. Maintaining balance in all areas of life is essential for peace and health of mind, body, and spirit. I hope you will find this website informative and intriguing.
